Appeals court overturned conviction

BROWNSVILLE - The man convicted of a vicious triple murder remains at the Carrizales-Rucker Detention Center in Olmito.

John Allen Rubio is back in the Valley for pre-trial hearings.

He was convicted in 2003 for the murders of his children. But the conviction was overturned last month.

Rubio's expected to return to a Huntsville prison any day now. He'll remain there until his next hearing.
