Border Fence
Critics say fence would cut off water access
BROWNSVILLE - Border Patrol agents and Valley landowners are meeting to talk about a planned border fence.
The proposal calls for fencing on 2.5 miles on either side of eight bridges along the border.
Supporters of the idea say the fence would help stop illegal immigration. Critics argue a border fence will do little to control illegal immigration. They say the fence would instead cut off water access for people and animals.
