Suspect reportedly pistol-whipped victim
BROWNSVILLE - A Brownsville teen is facing multiple charges in a connection with a weekend assault.
Police say 18-year-old Juan Balderas and an accomplice confronted a man at the intersection of Vermillion Street and El Lago in Brownsville. That's where they allegedly busted out the victim's back window.
Officers say they also threatened the man with a gun, before pistol-whipping him.
Police arrested Balderas at his home later that night. The charges he faces includes aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana.
