Pharr Bridge Update
Six people killed
PHARR - The Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge has re-opened. TXDOT engineers gave the okay to open the gates, after last night's major accident.
Four people died and six were injured in the six-vehicle crash. Two 18-wheelers and a mini-van caught fire after the accident.
The driver of a mini-van died. Three other people in a pick-up truck died, after the truck plunged off the bridge.
The six people injured reportedly had minor injuries.
Police are trying to find the cause of the accident. Investigators spent the night reconstructing it.
They're also working to identify the people killed in the accident.
