Doctors operated to remove blood clot
HOUSTON - Grammy-winning Tejano singer Emilio Navaira underwent surgery after his tour bus crashed.
Police say Navaira's bus slammed into traffic barrels on Interstate 610 in Houston.
Navaira was sent to the hospital. Doctors performed surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain. They say the next 24 hours will be critical.
Two other people on the bus suffered minor injuries.
Navaira and his band have released more than a dozen albums, including one that won the 2003 Grammy for Best Tejano Album.
