Navaira critically injured in tour bus crash

HOUSTON - Tejano singer Emilio Navaira will undergo more surgery.

The 45-year-old was taken in for another two-hour surgery to relieve pressure on his brain. Doctors had tried to lower his body temperature to prevent the swelling, but it didn't work.

Navaira was critically hurt when his tour bus crashed on a Houston freeway. Police say the singer, who was driving at the time of the crash, wasn't licensed to drive a bus. They suspect he may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
