Hidalgo Constable Off the Job

Suspended from Office

Hidalgo County - Precinct Five Constable Walo Bazan, is no longer allowed to operate as an officer with Hidalgo County. District Attorney Rene Guerra says Bazan has been suspended from his office.

Last year, Bazan was convicted of theft by a public servant. He was sentenced to seven years probation and fined. At the time he was allowed to keep his job, until a Texas supreme court ruling came down last week.
