Teen Murdered

One dead, others wounded

HARLINGEN - A Valley teen accused in the murder of another teen went before a judge today.

Eighteen-year-old Basilio Lopez Jr. was arrested yesterday afternoon for the stabbing death another teen.

Police say this all started as a disturbance at the 600 block of Buchanan Street late Friday.

When police approached the scene, several people made a run for it. The teen who had been stabbed tried to run as well, but he collapsed. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
