Army Specialist Alex Gonzalez was killed in Iraq

MISSION - For high school English teacher Christina Reyna, Army Specialist Alex Gonzalez was like no other.

"I believed that Alex fit the definition of a true gentleman. He was very courteous and dedicated," says Reyna. She tells us he was a dedicated student who stood out among the rest. He would talk to her about enlisting in the military and serving his country.

Even after high school, Specialist Gonzalez kept in contact with Reyna and often asked her to pray for him.

Specialist Gonzalez was killed in Iraq last week when a rocket-propelled grenade hit his vehicle.

No word yet on when his body will arrive in the Valley.
