Barnhart faces two counts of perjury

RAYMONDVILLE - The Willacy County Judge's perjury trial won't be heard in the Valley.

A special prosecutor requested the change of venue for Eliseo Barnhart's case. A visiting judge granted the request.

The trial is set to begin August 11 in Kingsville. Barnhart is charged with two counts of perjury stemming from a sexual assault case.

Back in September, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct suspended him pending the outcome of his case.
