Suspect's ex-wife says he repeatedly threatened her family

SAN BENITO - A murder suspect will be arraigned tomorrow.

Deputies arrested 30-year-old Efrain Puente. He's accused of fatally stabbing 20-year-old Francisco Losoya.

It happened at a home on Nicho Esparza Boulevard in El Ranchito. Police say Puente went to his ex-wife's home, found her with another man, and stabbed him to death after a struggle.

The suspect ran from police. But they arrested him, shortly after getting a warrant.

Puente's ex-wife said she knew he was violent. She tells us he threatened her and her family several times. Police say its important to follow through and get a restraining order if you are afraid of a spouse.
