Audit prompted investigation

EDINBURG - There are new developments on the investigation into the Hidalgo County Elections Office. The sheriff will turn over his information to the District Attorney. Rene Guerra will look it over and finalize paperwork to be prepared next week. Then he'll present evidence to the grand jury.

A financial audit prompted the criminal investigation this past February.
