La Joya Bus Driver
Woman had to be rescued from mangled bus
LA JOYA - A bus driver involved in a major accident will face charges. DPS officers say Rosa Flores failed to control her speed.
The accident happened yesterday morning, near Goodwin and FM 495.
Investigators say Flores was driving down Goodwin when she crashed into an 18-wheeler, which was waiting for another La Joya ISD bus to unload several students.
This caused a chain reaction of wrecks between the three vehicles.
Flores had to be rescued from the mangled bus and taken to a nearby hospital. No students were seriously hurt in the crash.
