Man arrested for snapping photos of underage children

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND - A 40-year-old man is accused of taking improper photos of underage children at Schlitterbahn water park. Now park rangers are asking parents help to identify children in the photographs.

They've developed the roll of film taken by Taurino Olivares this past Saturday.

Investigators say the pictures are mostly of 12-year-old girls. Olivares is accused of following girls to take the photos and even going underwater to snap shots.

The young girls reported him to park managers, who then called police.

Investigators will be available tomorrow morning to answer questions and to talk with people who may have been victims. They've reserved the annexation conference room in Rio Grande City, starting at 11 a.m.

Right now, Olivarez remains behind bars with a $15,000 bond.
