Red Cross opens shelter to help families displaced by storms

Alton - The American Red Cross has set up a shelter for all families who need a place to stay following Friday morning's severe weather.

By ten o'clock Friday night only thirty five people had signed up to stay at the shelter.

Starting Saturday, Red Cross Volunteers will be in Alton to talk to people affected by the storms.

For now they're asking for volunteers to help translate.
