Mission man dies in combat

MISSION - Specialist Alex Daniel Gonzalez is the latest Valley soldier to be killed in the line of duty.

He was killed by a rocket propelled grenade in Iraq.

There's no word on when his body will return to the Valley.

Specialist Alex Gonzalez is the 28th Valley serviceman killed in the war, the fourth from Mission, and the second this year alone.

Funeral services are pending.
