Mexico's Anti-Drug Coordinator Killed at Home
MEXICO CITY, Mexico - NEWSCHANNEL 5 This Morning is getting reports of an assassination that's sending shockwaves through Mexico. The acting head of Mexican federal police is dead.
Authorities say Edgar Millan Gomez was shot several times in his home. He died hours later in a Mexico City hospital.
Millan Gomez was in charge of the federal police for just one month. He was also the country's anti-drug coordinator.
Authorities are investigating possible drug links in his death. One suspect is already behind bars. Right now police are searching for more.
