Injured Tejano Singer's Blood-Alcohol Level Twice Legal Limit

Emilio drove bus when it crashed

HOUSTON - A Tejano singer injured in a tour bus crash had a blood-alcohol level over two times the legal limit. That's according to the accident report from the Bellaire Police Department.

Emilio Navaira was driving the tour bus, when it crashed in the early morning hours. He remains in the hospital, but he continues to improve.

His condition will be upgraded soon from fair to good. We've learned the singer may be out of the hospital in a couple of weeks away.

Navaira could face a DWI charge, as well as intoxication assault charges.
