Company says delivery person possibly dumped phonebooks

SAN JUAN - Investigators are looking for clues into who's responsible for setting fire to a pile of phonebooks.

The San Juan Fire Department was called out to South San Antonio and Las Milpas Road around 10 a.m. That's a few miles south of PSJA High School.

San Juan Fire Chief Tirso Garza suspects the phonebooks were dumped out then set on fire.

NEWSCHANNEL 5 contacted AT&T about the phonebooks. They tell us they believe the delivery person dumped them. The company says they're investigating the incident.

Fire investigators are also looking into the matter. The fire chief warns residents the area the phonebooks were found in isn't a dump site. He also reminding everyone that a burn ban is in effect.
