City leaders vote to let county count ballots

Edcouch-Elsa - City leaders in both towns have voted to let the Hidalgo County Elections Office handle the vote count.

Elsa's city manager tells NEWSCHANNEL 5, the reason they voted to have the county handle the vote counting, is for efficiency.

"Since they have this electronic system, results are in much quicker" says Paul Vazaldua.
