Alligator Found in Los Fresnos Canal

Creature reportedly seven-feet long

LOS FRESNOS - Residents near Los Fresnos woke up to find an alligator in their canal.

It was discovered in a canal off FM 510 just before Paredes Line Road. We're told the animal was about seven feet long.

Marcial Garcia was the person who found the alligator. He says, "When I opened the gate, I was surprised and concerned when saw the seven-foot alligator. I called all the guys over to come see it. They were surprised as well to see the creature. And that's why we called animal control to see if they can come see it before anybody harms him."

There's no word if animal control got the call or if they've tried to remove the alligator.
