Construction crew cut fiberoptic line

WESLACO - Cell phone service and landline service from many different carriers are down at this hour. They have been down for several hours now.

We're told construction crews working in the area of White Ranch Road and Expressway 83 in the La Feria area cut a fiberoptic line. That shut down service to thousands of customers.

Crews are working now to fix the problem.

If you have an emergency, 911 service should still be working.
