Father also facing charges

HARLINGEN - In Cameron County, the trial of a Harlingen woman accused of killing her baby girl is underway. Melissa Lucio was indicted for murder in February 2007. Harlingen police say her daughter died from a blow to the head.

The child's father, Roberto Alvarez, was also arrested in the case.
