TX-Dot assessing damages

LA FERIA - Long stretches of the Expressway in the Mid-Valley including parts through La Feria, Mercedes and Weslaco will be closed.

An accident occurred Wednesday night underneath the Expressway near the FM 506 exit. A 14 year old boy drove off the expressway.

Officials in La Feria say that TX-Dot will have to come in and approve everything before the intersection can be opened.
