Suspect climbed through drive-thru window

EDINBURG - A man is behind bars after he climbs through a drive-thru window and robs a McDonald's cashier at gunpoint.

It happened on the 1600 block of East University in Edinburg.

The suspect drove up to the drive-thru window, claimed to have a gun, and demanded the keys to the cash register.

He then climbed through the window and took off with a cell phone and the cash register.

Police later caught up with him. He is now behind bars and will be facing a judge this afternoon on aggravated robbery charges.
