Teen caught in Mexico

HARLINGEN - A grand jury indicted an 18-year-old accused of shooting a Harlingen police officer.

This means there's enough evidence against Abraham Mar for his case to go to trial.

Investigators say Mar shot a police officer during a traffic stop. The officer was still in his police unit at the time.

It happened at the Corner Mart on F Street in Harlingen in June.

Mar then drove his getaway car into the Rio Grande River. He fled to Mexico, where authorities managed to nab him a short time later.
