Fatal crane accident in Miami is still under investigation

MIAMI (AP) - Authorities are trying to find out what caused a section of a construction crane to crash onto a home, leaving two workers dead and five more hurt in Miami.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has investigators at the site. OSHA spokeswoman Darlene Fossum says a crane expert will also help in the investigation.

Fossum adds that the contractors on site are cooperating with authorities.

The fire department says the accident happened when workers tried to raise the crane section to extend the equipment's reach at a high-rise condominium. The section fell 30 floors onto a home that a contractor used for storage.

The home was used in the movie "There's Something About Mary." It's where Cameron Diaz's character lived.
