HOUSTON (AP) - Retail gasoline prices continue to climb to new record heights this week.

The weekly Triple-A Texas gas price survey released today finds regular self-serve is averaging a record-high $3.54 per gallon in the 11 areas surveyed. That's a penny more than last week. The national average price climbed 2 cents to $3.65 per gallon.

Auto club spokeswoman Rose Rougeau says record-high crude oil prices topping $120 per barrel continue to buoy gas prices at the pump.

The most expensive gas in the weekly Texas survey is in Amarillo, where the average price rose 5 cents to $3.58 per gallon. The cheapest gas is in El Paso, where the price climbed 3 cents to $3.49 per gallon.
