Stephanie Stone

Stephanie joined the Valley's Number One News Team in March of 2005 from California, where she was born and raised. After graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara, her reporting career took her upstate to an NBC station in Eureka, also known as Redwood Country.

She quickly became the 5 PM anchor, after learning the ropes of the news business. She was her own photographer, producer, and of course, reporter. But Stephanie knew she wanted to be a journalist at the age of 4, when she was featured in a news segment in her hometown of Sacramento.

After moving to the great state of Texas, Stephanie immediately fell in love with the Rio Grande Valley, where news is unlike any other place in the country.

Some of her favorite moments in the Valley include crawling beneath the storm drains of Brownsville, after discovering illegal immigrants were using the drains to get into the United States. When she's not working, Stephanie enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the gym, and playing with Tigger and No-Name, her two cats.
