Remember that cosmetic surgery is usually elective. Undergoing a body enhancement can greatly change your life for the better, but it is not without risk. It's also nice to know that if you have any question or problem, you don’t have to cross the border to see your doctor.
You will see Dr. Moncada at your first consultation and be guided through the whole process by him and our registered nurse. Candidates for cosmetic or reconstructive surgery should take their surgery very seriously, be well informed about the procedure(s) they are considering and be prepared for their outcomes. BREAST AUGMENTATIONHave you ever considered getting breast implants? Has your breast size changed due to pregnancy, weight loss or the aging process? Maybe you just prefer to be a little bigger on top. Silicon gel implants are back and so you have a choice between silicon or saline filled, as well as size and shape of implants.
BREAST LIFT (MASTOPEXY)Have your breasts begun to sag due to pregnancy, nursing, weight change or age? Breast lift or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts. Breast implants are sometimes used to enhance this procedure.
RHINOPLASTY (NOSE SURGERY)Not happy with the nose you were born with? Maybe you had a nose injury when you were younger. Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that can change the appearance, structure, and function of the nose. The tip of the nose, the bridge of the nose, or both can be corrected surgically.
RHYTIDECTOMY (FACE-LIFT)Have the visible signs of aging caught up with you? We all reach that moment when we start to look our age. Why not fight it with a face-lift? Face-lift is a surgical procedure in which the skin of the face and neck are redraped, improving skin wrinkles. Sometimes a chemical peel is performed in conjunction with the face-lift.
BOTOX COSMETICHere is the non-surgical, quick fix, temporary solution to wrinkles to the forehead and around the eyes. Results typically last between 3-5 months. Remember that it takes about a week to see the results, so plan accordingly.
JUVEDERM INJECTABLE GELNo more parenthesis around your mouth! How great is that? This smooth, injectable gel is great for filling in deeper wrinkles and even for plumping your lip line. Results last 6-9 months and only slight bruising and swelling at the site are noticeable for about 1 week.
RADIESSEThis is another filler for facial wrinkles that lasts a little longer, up to 1 year. This can be used for fine lines around the nose and mouth and “smile lines”. This filler stimulates your own collagen production and so provides a longer lasting effect.
LIPOSUCTIONLiposuction is the surgical removal of fat deposits to the abdomen, hips, thighs, flanks, or arms. Liposuction is for persons of normal weight and should not be used as a form of weight loss. Liposuction may be done in conjunction with a tummy-tuck or other cosmetic procedures.
FAT INJECTIONSActually the opposite of liposuction, your own fat can be taken out and then re-injected. Fat injections are used for plumping the buttocks, lips and even filling in facial wrinkles. If you are undergoing liposuction to say your abdomen, and would like it to be re-injected into say your lips, that can all be done at the same surgical setting.
ABDOMINOPLASTY (TUMMY-TUCK)Have you lost weight and have sagging skin around your abdomen? A tummy-tuck is performed to remove excess skin and fatty tissue from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. This is not a surgical procedure for weight loss. Rather, this procedure should be performed after meeting your weight loss goals and maintaining your weight. Liposuction may be performed in conjunction with abdominoplasty in order to achieve proper contouring of the body.
