SAN BENITO - A Cameron County homeowner says a nearby drainage ditch is causing problems for her house's foundation.
Juanita Martinez tells us a grassy mess is clogging the drain and backing up water on to her property.
Martinez says she tired of the problems. She adds she's also fed up with people ignoring signs and treating the area like a dump.
The homeowner tells us no one maintains the end of the drainage ditch and, there is no way for the water to pass through.
CHANNEL5 NEWS called county officials. They sent out workers to document the problem and take photos.
We're told Cameron County will work with the irrigation and drainage district to find a solution and get it cleaned up.
Martinez is glad help is on the way. She tells us she's is counting the days until see she's results.
