ALAMO - Hidalgo County dispatchers are telling CHANNEL 5 that a man was shot during a drive-by.
Witnesses saw four people speed off in a black Jetta.
It happened on Village Circle, south of Alamo, right off El Gato Road just after 4 p.m. today.
It is still not clear if the man who was shot was simply walking down the road, or was in front of the home where shots were fired. He was transported to McAllen Medical Center.
Neighbors who live on Village Circle were surprised to come home to crimescene tape.
"I don't like this. I'm really scared and worried. Things like this shouldn't happen," said Carmen Garza.
The car used in the shooting is described as a 4-door, black Volkswagen Jetta with dark tinted windows and shiny rims.
No word on the victim's condition tonight.
