MERCEDES - Hurricane Dolly damaged Frank Cantu's house. FEMA refused to fix it and now he's left with the mess and wondering what's next.

Cantu never imagined he'd be in such a situation. The 41-year-old man is on dialysis and his kidneys are failing.

He says he got sick a few years ago after eating bad chicken. The bacteria took over his body and nearly killed him. While he fights his health, he's trying to figure out how to deal with the damage left from Dolly.

A friend patched his leaky roof, but Cantu knows that's not enough. He still needs some shingles, plywood and possibly a new floor.

"Even the floor where you step, it's already falling apart. I'm not asking for a new house or money, I'm just asking for materials that they have left over; a lot of people have materials left over that I can use," Cantu said.

Right now he's focusing on his faith.  He's hoping and praying someone will come through to help him.
