MEXICO CITY - Mexican authorities are trying to confirm the identity of suspect believed to be the son of one of Mexico's most wanted.

Mexico's federal attorney general's office said experts are working to fully confirm Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar's identity. He was arrested yesterday in the state of Jalisco.

A lawyer for the man said his client's name is Heriberto Rangel Mendes and is not related to Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.

American officials also are working on confirming the man's identity.
