Man Accused of Having Sex with Minor

HARLINGEN - A Harlingen man is behind bars after he allegedly had sex with a 13-year-old girl.

Eugene Alberto Gutierrez, Jr., 18, went before a judge today.

Police say they first received a report from a woman who claimed that her 13-year-old daughter had sex with Gutierrez back in June. Police investigated and obtained a warrant for Gutierrez's arrest. He was eventually arrested in Corpus on an outstanding warrant. Authorities transported him back to Harlingen yesterday and he was arraigned today. His bond was set at $30,000.
