HOUSTON (AP) Houston police are looking for witnesses to come forward after a man was shot and killed in a nightclub parking lot.

Sgt. Warren Meeler says a 34-year-old man was killed following an argument with four other patrons inside Cube's Sports Bar early in the morning of New Year's Day.

Detectives say people who argued with the victim inside the bar were ejected but waited in the parking lot. Meeler says the victim was shot several times as he left.

He says officers were called within minutes, but found the club closed and no witnesses waiting.

Meeler tells the Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/VYV4FL ), "We know that parking lot was full of people. We know that club was full of people. We're in serious need of some witnesses to come forward on this."
