TULSA, OK - The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (20-21-6) scored a season-high six goals, but still came up short in a 9-6 loss to the Tulsa Oilers (22-19-5) Sunday afternoon. A score by Dan Gendur cut the deficit to three heading into the first intermission. The Bees battled back with four scores in the second period, but Tulsa kept riddling the visitors' net. The Oilers racked up two goals in the second period and three more in the third for the victory. Bees goalie John Murray, who replaced Wylie Rogers early in the contest, took the loss after stopping 13-of-17 shots. Zac Pearson and Dan Gendur each had a pair of scores for Rio Grande Valley. The Bees return to home ice Tuesday evening against the Evansville IceMen (28-13-4) at 7:05 pm.
