BROWNSVILLE - A traffic stop ended in two arrests and the seizure of almost half a million dollars' worth of cocaine.

It happened in Brownsville yesterday afternoon. Police said they searched the vehicle after the passenger, Roberto Ruiz Ramirez, appeared extremely nervous. They found more than 50 pounds of cocaine in a duffle bag.

According to officers, Ramirez tried running away from officers but was quickly caught. Ramirez and the driver, 29-year-old Cesar Eli Ramos Valdes, were both arrested.
