2 People Accused of Health Care Fraud Make Initial Court Appearance

WESLACO – Two people, who were taken into custody for their alleged involvement in a health care fraud case, had their initial court appearance on Friday.

Everardo Villarreal of Edinburg and Delilah Rae Robles of Weslaco are both accused of allegedly submitting fraudulent payment claims of more than $850,000 to Texas Medicaid.

They allegedly would use personal Medicaid numbers to file false claims; the equipment was allegedly never intended to be delivered.

Their detention hearing is set for April 5.
