MCALLEN - Hundreds of HEB volunteers helped serve over 12,000 meals as part of the 22nd Annual Feast of Sharing event.
It was held Sunday afternoon at the McAllen Convention Center. People who attended were served all the fixings including turkey, mash potatoes and gravy, plus dessert.
People who volunteered say they enjoy giving back to the community.
"Well to me it means a chance to help out the community, to give back to the people that surround you and help you everyday," says Rolando Garcia.
The HEB Feast of Sharing was founded in 1989. The event was held in several cities across the state of Texas.
