BROWNSVILLE - Eight men have been indicted in connection with a murder and kidnapping earlier this year in Brownsville.

The crimes happened on July 18, police said. The men allegedly kidnapped Reyes Bocanegra, 22, from an eatery in west Brownsville. Police said the suspects murdered the victim a short time later. His body was discovered inside an SUV north of Rancho Viejo.

One suspect remains on the run, police said.

The suspects will be arraigned on Nov. 15.
