Abilene Christian trounces Open Bible 87-43

ABILENE, Texas (AP) Jacob Lancaster scored 21 points and gathered 9 rebounds to lead Abilene Christian over Open Bible 87-43 on Wednesday.

The Wildcats (5-8) got 15 points from Parker Wentz, including three 3-pointers, and James Peques added 11 points including 7 of 8 at the line.

Open Bible was led by Trey Lindsey with 11 points.

Abilene Christian used a 12-0 run at the end of the first half, including Austin Cooke's trey at the buzzer, to bump their lead to 22 at 48-26 at intermission.

The second half featured more dominance by the Wildcats, as Open Bible went long stretches between buckets as they were just overpowered by the bigger and quicker team. The Bears managed just 17 points, and a mere six field goals, in the second half.

Open Bible was 3 of 19 (16 percent) from beyond the arc.
