Access Fees Increase at some Cameron County Beaches

CAMERON COUNTY - Beachgoers will be charged $10 to access county beaches on the north side of South Padre Island.
The fee will apply to beach accesses 5 and 6 and will be in effect from March to September.
The fee includes $5 for the access and a $5 trash surcharge. The surcharge will be returned to beachgoers if they take trash away from the beach.
