PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) The Pakistani army says a roadside bomb blast has killed eight paramilitary soldiers in a tribal region near the Afghan border.
A statement sent to journalists in a text message says Thursday's bombing in the town of Miran Shah in North Waziristan also has wounded several soldiers.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
Suspicion is likely to fall on a mix of militants from Pakistani and al-Qaida-linked foreign outfits, which have safe havens there.
