WESLACO - UT-PA junior Angel Ibanez plans to forego his senior year of college baseball and sign with the team that drafted him in the amateur baseball draft. Ibanez was the only Broncs' player chosen and selected in the 28th round by the Houston Astros. He told CHANNEL 5 over the phone from North Carolina, where he is playing summer ball, that he felt it was his time. The indication was that he would sign with the Astros. In three seasons with the Broncs, Ibanez hit .337 with 11 home runs and 111 runs batted in.
