BOSTON The Republican Party's internal struggles, painfully exposed after Mitt Romney's failed presidential bid, have exploded in recent days. Infighting has penetrated the highest levels of the House GOP leadership. Longstanding geographic divisions have been inflamed, pitting already endangered Northeastern Republicans against their colleagues from other parts of the country. Angry tea party leaders are threatening to knock off dozens of Republicans who supported the compromise averting the "fiscal cliff." By Steve Peoples.
