HARLINGEN - The slogan "believe or leave", born during last year's playoff run by the Harlingen football Cardinals, has extended into the days prior to this year's summer workouts. Head coach Manny Gomez made the comment into a CHANNEL 5 camera and microphone after last year's third round playoff victory. It was a win that left Harlingen among the final eight teams standing in the 5A Division 1 playoffs. It has fans lining up and camping out overnight in the pursuit of Cardinals' season tickets.
