NEAR PENITAS - Hidalgo County sheriff's deputies are working to identify a man whose body was found floating in the Rio Grande Wednesday afternoon. Border Patrol agents discovered the body. The La Joya Fire Department recovered the remains.
Investigators say the man, who was more than six feet tall and weighed 200 pounds, had been in the river for at least five days.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death and victim's identity.
