McALLEN - Border Patrol agents rescued two immigrants from the South Texas brush in two separate incidents.

The first rescue happened Sunday evening. Authorities said a human smuggler abandoned the man near La Grulla.

The man called 911 and Starr County dispatchers relayed his general location to agents.

The agents used a helicopter and boats to find the man and give him first aid.

The second rescue happened Monday in Brooks County. Dispatchers received a call from a man in distress. Agents, along with a K9 search-and-rescue team, found the man.

The immigrant was severely dehydrated.
