STARR COUNTY - The Sheriff's Office in Starr County is investigating a case of alleged sexual assault, inside a Border Patrol facility.

Information is limited because this case involves two juveniles. We do know the victim and alleged suspect were both illegal immigrants being held for processing.

The Starr County Sheriff's Office says the alleged incident happened inside the holding facility at the Rio Grande City Border Patrol station.

They say both illegal immigrants were juvenile boys.

The victim made the outcry after being transferred to a facility north of Texas. Officials there notified Border Patrol, who filed the report with the sheriff's office.

Investigators say both the victim and alleged suspect are in the country, but no longer at the Rio Grande City station.

The sheriff's office was unable to speak with CHANNEL 5 NEWS on camera.

Border Patrol officials declined to comment, saying they are working to get information on the case.
